Hearts PLayground - 2005

The playground as a microcosm of the real and bigger world charged with electric passions and governed by rules that are all too often arbitrary and asking to be broken. Borders in the playground, some drawn with chalk others marked with pebbles anticipate other borders, less benign, of barbwire or concrete. A whistle blows to empty the playground. In the vacated lot: shoes, coats, mittens, hats, jackets, the detritus of those who have crossed the border, and always, some people left behind.
